me and my hubby are still looking for a perfect honeymoon. We were looking into Oachu (Hawaii) due to the nightlife and a variety of things to do, but hotels do not seem to match their rating and/or price. Also looked into Miami where u can book amazing 5 star hotels for very good prices, but thats not exactly an exotic island (we live in Dallas). We are both 26, love to go out (lounges, bars, clubs) and mingle with other people, but with the room for romantic trips, time together etc etc…We are going in August and are considering Hyatt hotel in Aruba (Palm beach), but am reading mixed reviews about the island. Some people say its a blast for a honeymoon plus there is decent nightlife, some people call it plain boring. Any suggestions!Planning a honeymoon is like planning another wedding-HELP!

We have been married for almost a year, its a delayed honeymoon and we did plan most of the wedding online, which turned out great, without using a wedding planner. I am not trying to go for the cheapest, but getting a 5 star hotel that looks run down is not how I see my honeymoon…Travel agents all have provided same prices I have seen myself online…
My main question wasnt about prices, I am just trying to find a place in August that will be fun, romantic and have a good nightlife with nice hotels. August is a hurricane season and unfortunately that removes a lot of nice destinations from our list.

I was thinking the Bellagio or the Venetian, cause they have the big names. Jacuzzi tubs are a definite plus, but not absolutely necessary if the hotel is really nice.

So where should I pick?

We are debating on 2 places and cannot decide but the hotels need booked by this weekend!

The first place, Bonnet Creek, is a GORGEOUS resort near Disney. Most of the reviews recommend it for a honeymoon and/or young couples, which we are. There are pools and jacuzzis and just gorgeous. HOWEVER – there will be construction going on from here til june 2010 and we would have to rent a car because its not near downtown orlando.

The second place – Cypress Palms is in downtown orlando and is a gorgeous resort as well. It had several reviews saying it was a fun family resort. The resort is in walking distance of several restaurants, stores, and has shuttles that go to sea world and universal studios, so we may not have to rent a car. However – many of the reviews say they did not recommend it as a honeymoon spot.
