The medications are fine, however full they are. Just bring your prescription for proof that you own them legally.
If you’re sharing a bag and checking it in, make sure it’s under 50lbs or they will charge you extra for going over.
Always, always take prescription medication with you in your carry on bag. Checked bags can and do go astray and that would be a serious problem.
This is what the TSA says about medications:
= = = = =
All medications in any form or type (for instance, pills, injectables, or homeopathic) and associated supplies (syringes, Sharps disposal container, pre-loaded syringes, jet injectors, pens, infusers, etc.) are allowed through the security checkpoint once they have been screened. Atropens, an auto-injection system that can help treat many emergency conditions (low heart rate, breathing problems, and excess saliva related to insecticide, nerve gas or mushroom poisoning) are also allowed.
We do not require that your medications be labeled.
Medications in daily dosage containers are allowed through the checkpoint once they have been screened.

So, you should not have any problem with your pills.
I <> recommend that you check with your pharmacy, however, about getting a refill early – even if they will only authorize a partial refill. I have done that when I am about to travel and a prescription will run out during or right after that trip. There is _always_ the possibility that your return could be delayed – weather problems, mechanical problems or something else. You do not want to be in that situation and run out of your medication before you get home. Better to take several extra days worth of all your pills just in case.
I do not know what the customs rules are for the Bahamas, but it would certainly be a good idea to have those pills in an original, labeled pharmacy bottle, even though the TSA does not require that. Those are not items that you need to declare on any customs form, and I really don’t think that the customs people will care, but better to be on the safe side. I have never had any issue traveling internationally with pills – though I don’t take any that are narcotics or on any controlled substances list.
Sounds like you have a fun time planned – hope it is everything you wish it to be
Half-bottles of prescriptions are fine. Just be sure that everything is in the original bottle from the drugstore, with the drugstore label on it. If the drugstore gives you a paper with the medications, I’d carry that, too. Put everything in a clear quart-size ziploc bag, and put that bag in your carry-on. If it will not fit in there, use a larger bag, but be ready to explain your medical need when using a non-standard size bag.
I suggest taking your own checked bag if you need the space. Florida or the Bahamas will be warm, it’s possible that your fiance will not need a checked bag at all. He will not need a jacket, and on a honeymoon, will not need entertainment. All he needs is a couple light shirts, shorts, underwear.
If you share a bag, it could be a large bag (but no more than 50 pounds, or it gets real expensive), and you could have a separate duffel inside for any surprise items you want to bring.
Look at the website for the specific airline you’ll be taking. Some may still allow one or two checked bags free, and on others, it might be only $15 or $20 per bag.
You should be fine going through customs with a bottle that’s halfway through. But honestly if you’re worried about it, just put it in your checked luggage, my friend did that because she was taking medication when we we’re traveling by plane. So she just put it in her checked luggage, so she wouldn’t have a problem and wouldn’t have to worry about it.
She took her medication right after she opened her suitcase.
It’s usually 1 carry-on bag per person, so you two should be fine with taking your own. I’m not sure about charging you on carry-on bags though. You might have to check your flight details, that you have printed out with your ticket. It’ll say they’ll charge you for carry-on or not there.
If it doesn’t say anything about if your going to be charged on carry-on you could always contact the airlines or travel company.
Depending on if your flight is long or not, you might want to take something that’ll keep you busy during the flight, probably that’ll go in your carry-on. They usually play movies on the plane though.
But maybe bring a book/magazine so your not bored during the flight.
