I hаνе always ѕаіd I wanted tο hаνе a destination wedding wіth a reception іn mу home town ѕο everyone сουld come. Bυt now thаt I аm really рlаnnіng a wedding I аm nοt sure. Mу fiance аnd I аrе bіg beach goers аnd іf wе dіd dο destination іt wουld bе аt ѕοmе exotic bеаυtіfυl beach somewhere. Whісh ѕhουld wе сhοοѕе?
Home town wedding, beach honeymoon. That way you will be free of entertaining guests. Have the fun part alone!
Traditional wedding, so everyone can come.
Save the exotic beautiful beach for your honeymoon:)
If you are both big beach goers, why not do a destination wedding at an exotic beautiful beach like you mentioned. That’s what *I* wanted. My Fiance told me that he only has one request, that his family (grandparents, parents, sibling) be able to attend. Since they aren’t willing to travel more than 25 miles from our hometown (no joke!), I had no choice but to do something local. He promised that we’d be taking our honeymoon to someone tropical though!
Its up to you but my sister had a destination wedding two years ago and it was great. the day was more about her and her husband, she didnt waste time worrying about the guests. They only had their parents and sibllings with them. But you have to remeber that this is your one and only wedding so if you feel like you missed out later on, theres no turning back. It comes down to which is more important to you.
Destination weddings are fine – I did one myself. But don’t kid yourself about the “reception” when you get back. It doesn’t make a good consolation prize for the people who couldn’t afford the trip or who wanted to see you exchange vows. And it isn’t part of the actual wedding – it’s just a celebration party.
So be realistic about that part. When people elope or go to exotic venues for a destination, there’s a lot to be said for it, but they give up some things at the other end.
Do you live by water
Could you have a traditional wedding by the ocean or a lake or a river?
Then go to an exotic beach honeymoon
This way you could get marry by water
Still have an exotic location for your honeymoon
If you do eventually decide on a destination wedding have a look at http://weddings.sunrise-villa.com for a really exotic beach front venue where you and your guests will be treated like celebrities and pampered like you would never believe.
